I like mucuna herb. When I take it I notice better mood, slightly more energy, feeling more alert, and mild sexual arousal. This herb also has a good amount of l-dopa, a chemical used by the body to make dopamine which is crucial in those with Parkinson's disease. A study recently published in the journal Parkinsonism and Related Disorders found that half of those with advanced PD who took mucuna pruriens daily for 16 weeks had a similar beneficial response to levodopa / carbidopa, a common medication combination used for this condition.
