Questions
Q. I am very interested in tribulus supplements. Could you please tell me any drug interaction with Synthroid (for hypothyroid) and tribulus supplements.
   A. There have not been adequate studies regarding the combination of tribulus supplements and Synthroid or other thyroid hormones, If you plan to use tribulus terrestris extract, start with half of a capsule and discuss with your doctor. It is a good idea if you are taking medicines and plan to add a dietary supplement to your regimen to use a low dosage the first few days.

Q. Can tribulus terrestris supplement be used together with antidepressant medications? I am on Zoloft which is a SSRI.
   A. Unexpected reactions can occur when medicines, such as antidepressants, are combined with potent herbs. If you do plan to use tribulus terrestris supplement, we suggest no more than 200 mg.

Q. I am using Passion Rx with good success and was thinking of adding tribulus terrestris capsule. Is this okay to do?
   A. We suggest not using Passion Rx and tribulus terrestris extract the same day since overstimulation and rapid heart beat can occur. You may take tribulus terrestris on a day that you are off Passion Rx. Most people don't need Passion Rx more than 3 days a week.
