Highest Quality CMO (cetyl myristoleate) raw material extract from beef tallow.

Where to buy, where is it available?
Cetyl myristoleate is a Dietary Supplement available without a prescription and can be purchased online. You can also purchase Joint Power Rx which contains CMO along with glucosamine, chondroitin, curcumin, boswellia, MSM, and additional supplements to support healthy joints.

What is in it? Review
Also known as cetyl myristoleate, it contains a concentrated extract of the fatty acid cerasomal-cis-9-acetyl-myristoleate from natural bovine source. CMO is not found in vegetable oils or other common foods, but it can be made in a laboratory using certain vegetable oils as a starting base. CMO is found in low amounts in animal connective tissue.

  • Support Healthy Joints
  • Relieve Joint discomfort
  • Use as “Lubricants” for Joints

History
Cetyl myristoleate is the common name for cis-9-cetyl myristoleate, a compound made from cetyl alcohol and myristoleic acid. CMO was discovered in 1972 by Harry W. Diehl, PhD., a researcher at the National Institutes of Health.

Where is it found
CMO is a natural medium chain fatty acid found in certain animals, including cows, whales, beavers, and mice.

Suggested Use
As a dietary supplement, healthy adults take one capsule 1 to 3 times daily with food, or as recommended by a qualified healthcare professional.

Combining with natural joint formulas sold over the counter
Q.
Can CMO pills be taken the same day as Joint Power Rx? I am having good results with the natural joint formula but was wondering if taking more CMO would benefit.
A. We suggest you first try a CMO pill supplement for a week to see how you respond to it, and then try Joint Power Rx by itself for a week. Once you feel comfortable with each supplement, you may consider combining them in consultation with your health care practitioner.

Side effects, safety, adverse reactions
No major negative side effects have been reported thus far in the medical literature. See an up to date review of CMO supplement.

Timing of ingestion
Q.
What time of day should I take CMO pill?
A. As a rule most supplements are best taken before or with breakfast. In the case of CMO, taking the pill a few minutes before, or with breakfast, are good options. It can also be taken a few minutes before or with lunch.

Q. I have purchased the product Joint Power Rx. One of the ingredients is CMO and on the label says "vegetable oil extract." Since it is not sourced from vegetable oils, I'm wondering about this ingredient. Could you please clarify this for me?
A. Although CMO is found in animal fat, it can also be derived from vegetable oil by esterification of palm kernel oil with cetyl alcohol.

Q. What is the amount of CMO in the CMO 400 mg complex capsule? Is it 40% which is 160 mg pure CMO? What is the amount in the Joint Power Rx capsule? Is the 100 mg pure CMO, or is it the CMO complex?
A. Cetyl Myristoleate complex - 550 mg (Fatty acid complex with cetyl myristoleate at 20 percent, along with several other fatty acids including cetyl myristate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl laurate, cetyl palmitoleate, and cetyl oleate). So it is 110 mg CMO per 550 mg of CMO complex. In the Joint Power Rx, it is 100 mg of complex which is 40 mg of CMO.
